Our Softly Softly is almost as famous as the Farm Fleck. We’ve been making this sock, with the original cushioned sole and a lighter weight upper to reduce bulk around the feet and ankles, since the 1960’s. Some of our customers still refuse to wear anything else – even when they are off to a wedding. We reckon they must be onto something.

Softly Softly Socks Design Change

NO! They changed the design of these socks which I have worn for years.
Now they are much thicker and heavier, which means I can no longer wear them as my feet get to hot

They Changed

I first bought these socks in 2022, and the construction of these socks felt suitably old-school. They have changed these socks to a more modern weave above the ankle and added a band around the top of the sock. These changes help the sock stop from falling down, a problem with the older style, however the sock is now much thicker and more similar to other socks that norsewear offers.

TLDR; Changed to an objectively better sock but I liked the old one. A distinctly different sock now feels similar to everything else.
